(Coming soon, until then here's some links to some useful information :-) Blog re: WDT and read-only FS raspberrypi.org/forums RO topic wiki.debian.org/ReadonlyRoot topic Note that, even with the System partition 'read only' it's still possible that files on one of the other partitions on the SD card can become corrupted. If one of those files is 'vital' to the Pi System (for example, the date/time of the shut-down), you can still end up with the system reporting errors at boot time. However, at least in theory, you should always end up with enough control to manually 'fix' the problem ..
